When it comes to an all-around great turf seed, there are many qualities that a grass seed must have.
Qualities include resilience, durability, and adaptability in the environments. Triple Crown has been developed with these traits in mind. It is the ideal choice for athletic fields and residential backyards. It also combines a mix of the finest quality turf type tall fescue grasses.
Triple Crown Elite
This grass seed is a blend of three tall, thin blade fescues, formulated at the University of Kentucky. Known for being drought resistant, growing in full sun with some shade areas, and a dark green color. This is best suited for lawns and residential areas. This variety is available in 5lb, 25lb, and 50lb bags.

Triple Crown Shady
This blend includes three shade loving, tall, thin blade fescues. This variety is best suited for areas of 70% or more shade. This product offers all of the same benefits as the Elite just formulated to flourish is those heavier shaded spots! The Triple Crown Shade is offered in 5lb and 25lb bags.
Kentucky 31
Coming In with a hardy broad-blade fescue is Kentucky 31. Proving great for transition areas, fields, and pastures. It is easily established, drought resistant, and heat tolerant. This variety is available in 50lb bags.
Contractors Mix
This blend includes tall fescues, Kentucky 31, and annual and perennial ryes. The benefit of this variety is the rye grass germinates very quickly. This is best for first plantings and erosion control. Contractors Mix is available in 50lb bags.
Coverage Rates:
- New Seed: 8-10 pounds per thousand square feet.
- Overseed: 5-8 pounds per thousand square feet.
